In the current days, fuel cells are more preferred to generate electricity due their positive sides. Because, if they use hydrogen and oxygen as fuel, only produce electricity, heat, water. This property of is significant because preventing environmental chemical pollution so, contribute environment positively. addition, have points such no moving or rotating parts. Therefore, required for mechanical maintenance not make noise. Besides, can be used in a wide range areas mobile stationary power sources generation. There many cell types but, proton exchange membrane (PEMFC) common than other types. It consists parts an endplate, bipolar flow plate, gas diffusion layer, catalyst membrane. End plates located on outer side PEMFC hold together its stacks. design endplates, state fracture energy should considered different loading conditions. Because material may fail it designed by strength materials concepts. paper investigated pure mode I, II mixed behavior numerically using Arcan specimen.
